We left Laggan and headed to Glasgow. This was a day trip with lots to see. First we called into the Royal Commandos' Memorial overlooking Ben Nevis then we went to the Ben Nevis Whiskey Distillery outside Fort William for a tour and a wee dram (plus acquisitions of course). An early start after breakfast which included traditionally cooked porridge.We left Laggan for Inverness, close to the site of the Battle of Culloden.Next stop Loch Ness but there was no sign of Nessie today. Workers were dismantling the stadium seating installed for the Edinburgh Military Tattoo held last week. The Castle is enormous. Most of the current structure is over 600 years old and spreads out beyond the 1st gate - the one usually seen on TV.
