Tonight we thought we would go to a ping pong show seen as Bangkok is famous for it. We met a guy in our dorm called Sammy, from Leeds, so he came with us and the girls. Online Georgie had seen that the average price to pay is 600 Baht… around £12, so we aimed to get it for this much. All you have to do is walk around the city and men come up to you making popping noises with their mouths asking you to go.

Whilst walking around Tim, Lloyd and Kelly decided to try a fried scorpion too, as Bangkok is also famous for this. We went to the nearest stall selling them and bought one each. The lady removed the sting, put some soy sauce on it and told us to eat the rest. We started by trying the claws, which were very crunchy and had no taste, then just put the whole body and tail in. It wasn't as bad as we thought it would be but we won't be eating one again!

We then managed to get a Tuk Tuk ride there, the ping pong show and a free drink all for just 300 baht each…. Bargain! We got in two Tuk Tuk's as there were 7 of us, and they took us right across the city to where the shows are. They were racing each other the whole way and driving as fast as they can. Obviously time is money, and they want to get back as quickly as possible to get more people in. Once we got there they sped off quickly and we thought…. we've been had here, 300 baht was too good to be true. We were right…. As we walked in the boss said it was 600, and when we argued he said 'I don't care what they said, I'm the boss and it's not 300 baht!' We finally agreed on 400 baht and a free drink if we kept it quiet…. We were happy with that.

This next part is not for the faint hearted and it was all very weird inside! We got our free drinks then got seated a couple metres from the stage. It is not just ladies firing ping pong balls from their lady parts, as we thought. First they fired blowdarts to pop balloons, then blew out candles, pulled lengthy ropes and ribbons out, smoked cigarettes and opened a sealed beer bottle by pulling the cap off etc. At one point they poured a whole bottle of water inside, then out came coca cola, or a black liquid that looked like it. We thought this was all a bit weird enough, when suddenly a guy came on stage and performed live sex in front of us and everyone else in the audience, in the strangest of positions…. We got a few tips for in future haha! It was all very weird so left pretty sharpish. The next Tuk Tuk got all 7 of us in but drove much more careful and took us back to Koah San road for a night of drinking games and a few bars….where we could also watch the football.
