It took 5 hours to get from Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang on a minibus that cost us the equivalent of £6. The journey was very bumpy and winding as we went through the mountains where the roads are mainly just dusty and stoney. Our bus to Vientiane was really old and uncomfortable but was only 7 hours so not too bad for time.
