Our bus to Vientiane was really old and uncomfortable but was only 7 hours so not too bad for time. When we arrived we already had a hostel booked this time so after about 10 minutes of looking for it we checked in and went straight to sleep. When we got up the next morning we got our free breakfast and chatted to a couple of people in the lobby. We had heard a few people say that there is not a lot to do in Vientiane, the Capital, and the people in the lobby confirmed it. So we just went for a walk around, it was a Sunday so basically everywhere was shut so made it even worse. Ben wanted to get a hair cut, so we found a salon and he got that sorted. He was proper worried but in the end it turned out ok. We also got some lunch.
We wanted to watch the Man U v Liverpool game that night, so we went back to the hostel done a bit of skypeing to people back home and chilled out until the game started. We found a sports bar that showed it, but at first we were the only ones in there so just played a bit of pool (We are getting good by the way). Everywhere normally has a curfew of 11pm in Vientiane but as there was two games on this pub stayed open until about 1pm. We booked our bus for 10am the next morning for Van Vieng, where we bumped into zee German girls again, third time we have been on the same bus! We were all hungover so there was literally no conversation on this journey.
