Tuesday 4th September

Didnt rain today so we finally climbed up the Eiffel Tower. Even more breathtaking than I imagined. The view from the top was spectacular. Quite busy but still pleny of chances for photos. Very windy at the top as you can tell from the photos. Afer coming back to earth we made our way, on our own, to Notre Dame. Thats one huge cathederal. Beautiful stained glas windows and huge huge ceilings. waited in the line to climb the bell tower. Nearly had a heart attack on the way up, lots of stairs. Saw the big bell, glad it didnt ring. The gargoyles were very cool. Great view. Had a little rest in the afternoon, before heading off to Sacre Couer. Another very different area of Paris. Bit of a climb, another heart attack. I will have buns of steel when I get back! Arrived just at dusk and watched the city light up. Would have been nice to sit on the steps with fish and chips and watch the sun set, dream on. Had anothe coffee and people watched. No one mentioned that we could have got up there on a fenicular. Never mind. Buns of steel! Until tomorrow...
