Woke up to rain today. This morning we drove back to have a look around Carcassone. This place is amazingly huge. It once supported 2000 people but now has only 150 residents. It was partly constructed by the Romans, but most of that part has been destroyed. It was finished in the 13th Century but restored in the 19th by the same man who restored the Louvre in Paris. It is a lot larger the Mont St Michel and not as magical or mystical. Having trouble...
