Today we left Clermont Ferrand bound for Carcassone. Had an interesting meal last night, served by a very smelly waiter. It was very rude but we couldn't stop laughing. At least he spoke English. Back to our drive. Our first pit stop we stopped at a service station for morning tea and the place was full of what we thought were French Army personnel, but as they pointed out they were from the Foreign Legion, even better. They were like kids in lolly shop filling their bags with chocolates, biscuits and soft drink. Further up the road we caught up with them on the motorway, photo to follow. Next stop was the Millau bridge. This bridge is 2.5km long, the pylons on the bridge were 90m high and from the ground the highest point was??. This makes it the tallest bridge in the world. It was a spectacular sight. We are spending the night in a little B&B in a place called La Force, 20 mins from Carcassone. Just went for a walk around and got attacked by a little yappy dog.
