Monday 3.08.07.

Another busy day. Got up early to go and climb the Eiffel Tower, but by the time we got there it was pouring rain. Strange stuuf falling from the sky that Melbournians dont often see. There were men with machine guns patrolling the base, bit unnerving. Gave up after we got soaking wet, went shopping instead. Bought some stuff at Gap for you Alex . Navigated our way back home on the train to meet Klaus back at home. Had lunch and a bit of a rest and then off again. Went to the Arc de Triomphe and climbed up to get a great view of Paris. Very long hard climb but worth the view. Wandered down the Champs Elysee at German pace to the Place De La Concorde. What a spectacular sight this place is. Next we went to Place Vendome and saw the Ritz Hotel and all of the very very expensive shops surrounding it. Pizza for tea and early to bed...
