We saw some amazing scenery on our trip down to Greymouth, we stopped at Cape Foulwind (named by Captain Cook when he was blown off course) where we could see some fur seals. We also stopped to view the pancake rocks and some other great coastal scenery along the way.
Well the bus drivers warned us there wasn't much to do in Greymouth apart from a Brewery tour and they were pretty much right. We only stayed the one night althougth the hostel was quite nice (Neptunes) and we went on the Brewery tour - they did whizz us round pretty good then you got to taste the 5 or so different beers at the end of the tour. Obviously I don't like beer so I just kept giving mine to Charlie. We then got taken for our inclusive bbq dinner which was terrible - it was just sausages cooked on a hot plate with some bloody bread! The pub was such a dive you would of thought you were somewhere in the valleys of Wales not New Zealand!! Anyways the beer seemed to flow rather well for Charlie and another girl Lou so I left them too it and headed back for some sleep before another early departure. Charlie eventually rocks in hammered and stumbles in to bed for a few hours kip before the 6am alarm - poor girl! She spent the whole of the next day feeling like death warmed up and me - I was just feeling quite superior!!
