So after a night of sleeping on the world's thinnest and softest mattress ever I headed back to Christchurch following a quick diversion to the seal's! My back was sore from basically sleeping on wooden slats all night but I was feeling good knowing I had a comfy bed to come back too.

The weather was pretty miserable so I abanded my plans to walk along the clifftop of Kaikoura pennisula. I did however get to see some seals, up close and personal. I even got the joy of being scared by one hiding in the bushes!

After taking millions of photos and becoming freezing I made my last long trip back to Rolleston Christchurch. I arrived back at lunch time and enjoyed a relaxing afternoon at base camp.

In the evening I managed to torture Helen and Pete with my 400 odd photos taken from my trip. The boys taking more interest in the new Sim's game they had got.

Looking forward to a decent nights sleep in a comfy bed!
