Well I set off on my travels today and enjoyed a nice drive down to dunedin. Whilst driving I discovered that in NZ they have day's such as bring your dog to work and drink driving adverts that say if yo stop someone from drink driving your a bloody legend! why hasn't this caught on in the UK I just don't know.

On my drive down, I stopped at a picnic area with one of the world's worst toilet's know to man. See the picture if you don't believe me. It did also provide a good photo op - the picnic area not the toilet!

Driving through the likes of Omaru and Timaru, I discovered that there really are places that look like they are stuck in the 50's America! It was dead surreal.

Once arriving in Dunedin and getting lost finding my accommodation, I then had to attempt to drive up a massive hill to park the car at the back of Manor House Backpackers accommodation. I was not overly impressed by the place, but it was a port in a storm as the saying goes.

I went and explored a bit of dunedin I had tea and then relaxed before hitting bed - writing in retrospect due to internet being dead expensive and me being lazy. It was a cold night but I survived to the end of my first day of travels.
