Have had a tiring but awesome day in Fox's Glacier. Have been up hiking Fox's Glacier for the best part of the day which was amazing. Freezing and glad I had a million layers on. Took loads of photo's too. It was surreal being on the ice and then looking over to rainforest. Doscovered it's the 3rd largest glacier in NZ which is pretty cool - in all senses. I have arrived in Fox's Glacier after a long and winding journey. I departed dead early from queenstown as I couldn't wait to leave the place. Will not be recommending that place to anyone! Made the trip from Invercargil to Queenstown at 6am in order to make it in time to go snowboarding. It was a lovely journey with pretty stars and a fight with a fuel pump on the way. Today has seen me go to Queens park, the southland museum, bluff and oreti beach. It has been fantastic weather, with clear skies and sunshine. Queens park was gorgeous and the grass was covered in frost. We don't do park's like they do here in NZ as there was animals, gardens, cafe as well as a play area. Well I had a rubbish nights sleep, what with the worlds most uncomfortable bed and a noisey fan heater. I was glad to leave the place as it was also dead dusty.
