I have arrived in Fox's Glacier after a long and winding journey. I departed dead early from queenstown as I couldn't wait to leave the place. Will not be recommending that place to anyone!

The journey has seen me go past many amazing views but I am definitely getting a bit fed up of driving up and down mountainsides. the landscape continues to amaze me as it remains so green despite being freezing and the middle of winter.I also encountered 4 seasons in one day on the journey, with it ending in clear skies and sun again. I really do hope my luck continues,

On arriving in Fox's glacier I have booked myself on to a half day hike up the glacier, which should be lovely, if somewhat tiring as I am still recovering from yesterday's snowboarding escapades. I have definitely used every possible muscle doing it and can feel every bit of the exercise, but the views and feeling of coming down the slope without falling was well worth it.

I have been for a walk around lake matheson and have a picture just like this one now of mount cook. Probably not as professional looking but have one all the same. the accommodation is better than my last one, but thats not hard really. So wish I had the bank balance to afford hotels!

Going to be havibng a relaxing evening before my busy day tomorrow of 4 hours hiking and then heading into franz josef for a look. I have worked out that I only have 3 more places to go and 7 more days travelling before I return to christchurch. i can't believe it is going so quick but it is amazing. Looking forward to a comfy warm bed and shower though!

Have not managed to do much marathon training but that has been down to my knee and then I am counting yesterday and tomorrow as cross training days that require recovery days after so will be greymouth before I start running again. Should also be a bit warmer than what it is down south. On stopping at Knights point, I discovered the warmth of the west coast which was a welcome change from freezing cold of the south I have endured.
