Well I had a rubbish nights sleep, what with the worlds most uncomfortable bed and a noisey fan heater. I was glad to leave the place as it was also dead dusty. I went and explore dunedin's university of otago campus - sad I know. I discovered the school of physio and their equivilent of liverpools clock tower. I did attempt to find the steepest street in NZ but couldn't find it as they all appeared ridiculously steep to me. Definitely hill city!
I then set of to Invercargil. On my way I took a detour to Kaka and Nugget Point. The roads were windy but the views were amazing. Sadly I didn't get to see any seals or penguins as was promised. I have enjoyed another glorious crisp winter day and hope that this may continue.
I finally made it to Invercargil and after going round the road 3 times to work out how to reach the off street parking I made it to Tuatara Lodge. It is a lovely place and much better than what I stayed in at Dunedin. I also think I prefer the town better too. I haven't had much chance to explore the town as arrived later so have had tea and just relaxing. There only appears to be me and an Australian guy in the place, which does mean that my 5 bed dorm only has me in so I get my own room cheap!
I am going to explore the town tomorrow and hit the museum and gardens, as well as the shops. There dosen't appear to be lots to do in the town so might go to one of the smaller towns on the coast to explore depending on how long I am in the museum and shops!
Will sign off now and report my day of exploration tomorrow.
