So after the long bus journey, we arrived in Vang Vieng. We then got a tuktuk (or should I say, they squeezed the whole bus into two tuktuks!!) where I had to stand on the back, to the guesthouse. The people who own pans place were really lovely! Me, Emily l and Si decided I go for a wonder, and after finding a nice place by the river, decided to go for a drink. And the drinks only took AN HOUR and all three of us going up to remind them!! But we did have a nice chat with a guy who'd just arrived in Laos. After finally getting our drinks, we went back to get McAll and went for dinner. I tried laap which is a yummy traditional Laos dish served with sticky rice :) back at the hotel they had a tv room so we defide to watch the hangover. The next day we had a lie in, went for breakfast at one of the many restaurants that show continuous reruns of friends (amazing!!). We the. Decided to go tubing. After renting rubber rings they take you in a tuktuk up the river. At the beginning there are lots of bars, most with free shots of tiger whiskey! And after going between those and chilling in the sun for a few hours (it's a hard life!), we set off in the rubber rings down the river. They said it would take about two hours to float down the river and we left enough time to get back in a good amount of time to get our deposit back. After floating down the river a bit you reach a few more bars, you get to the last bar. And a bit further another last bar. A bit further on we saw a sign saying 3km to the end, and we'd already gone pretty far!! We basically had to paddle for the rest of the time- way more tiring than I expected and just made it back in time! It went from being a lot of fun to a bit annoying! So after a nutella and banana pancake (eating too many of these!) we chilled out before having dinner at the hotel. We were supposed to go for drinks after but as we were eating there was a storm- heafty amount of rain!! So we stayed inside and played some cards. The next day after another lie in and breakfast watching friends, we decided not to rent tubes and just got a tuktuk to te bars up the river, and walked and swam between them- much better!! After a few hours, and the odd game of beer pong we went back for pancakes (surprise surprise) and then went for dinner at a place showing family guy (variety is the spice of life! :P ) we then went to bucket Bardot some drinks. It was a bit quiet at first, but then some mass drinking games started. We also met some nice people from Leeds and when bucket bar closed we all headed to smile bar- where they had hammocks!! :) the next morning was our last full day in Vang Vieng. After another lie in we went for another friends watching breakfast. We had planned to go to the river again today, but ended up watching a stupid number of hours of friends instead. Sounds so lazy, but I have to admit, so good!! We had dinner and then went for a beer at the place next door (where we also got to see the final episode of friends!) The next morning we only had time to have breakfast at the hotel before getting the bus to Vang Vieng. The bus was late, but that's standard Laos P.D.R (please don't rush :P )
