We woke up this morning to one of the most beautiful sunrises ever—there were just enough clouds to make the rays of the sun change colors, mountains along the water and extremely calm seas…and even Teena got to see it!! Watching our ship dock this morning was very interesting, as it looked like we were stuck from our perspective! The ship was churning up sand & you couldn't see the dock from our side but all was well. We had a late docking this morning, arriving at 8:00 a.m. but the good news was that we were the only cruise ship in port (at that time--2 others arrived about 1:00 p.m.) We enjoyed a leisurely breakfast and then set out to visit the port city of Katakolon. Woke up this morning to see that we had already docked & the view was spectacular of the sea & mountains around us. I got to watch a Norwegian Cruise ship sail in & dock, which is really something to see because they are so huge! It's so easy to lose track of days when you're at sea & on vacation! Since we didn't have an excursion planned for today, we all met for breakfast in one of the formal dining rooms & ordered our food vs. going thru the buffet lines. Early morning for us since we had a tour planned for 8:30 a.m. After a quick breakfast, we met our tour guide & were escorted onto a "tender" which is a small boat that takes you from the ship to the shore (Santorini doesn't have a dock/pier).
