Busy morning to miss our first sighting of rain for 7 weeks and leave the dusty car park of the pub prior to it turning to mud. Big head wind on the way, fuel economy well down. We started our Dinosaur adventure today. After a slow start and a bit of work by Baz we first visited the Australian Age of Dinosuar Museum. The first part of the tour entailed the story of finding the bones in the area as well as viewing the actual bones of Banjo (Australovenator Wintonesis) and Matilda (Diamantinasauras Matildae). Today we said fairwell to West Leichardt Station and headed south-west to dinasour country. A bit of a drive however Cloncurry for lunch was a very tidy town (the boys enjoyed their pies), then had to stop at McKinlay, home to the famous Walkabout Creek Hotel. Up early again this morning, another cracker sunrise. The family headed in to Mount Isa to drop the car off for a service and a well needed tyre rotation and balance. Once again headed to the Visitor Information Centre to grab a coffee, do some emails, phone calls, put some postcards together and book in for the afternoon mine tour. Baz up early and caught the sunrise. In to town (Mount Isa) to find some internet (Visitor Information Centre Internet Café) and do some work. Managed to get the Ranger booked in for a service tomorrow and grab some seafood. Pen, Jack & Pop's managed a sleep in followed by a nice walk past the dam to the cattle yards and former Rodeo grounds. Then spent the afternoon fluffing around the station, reading some books, playing Yatzee (Pop's the winner)...
