Krabi started off like any other trip, the journey there was bad but this one was the worst. It was supposed to go taxi, boat, bus arrive Krabi. It went, taxi turns up 25 minutes late, felt sick on the boat for 2 hours 30 minutes of the 3 hour boat journey, bus to nowhere, get off there, get thrown into a pickup truck, 10 in the bed ... with bags, 4 in the back seat then me in the front with a man and his dog, well fluffy rat. This glentleman kindly drops us off at a cafe, deeper in nowhere, where we have to reconfirm our tickets, (this is where it gets really bad), for some reason you cant reconfirm your ticket if you have lost them, and this is hard to explain to someone who doesnt care. So we paying an extra 300 baht, for a rip off fee and we get put on a bus that is already full. Although the bus journey was ok because we got to watch the history of the rivalry between Triple H and the Rock, WWF greatest stars, for 4 hours in Thai! But what are we too expect with our travel arrangement.

Krabi was just a stop off point for a couple of days, but it was good. We got to go on an Elephant trek for a couple of hours. Where we (Charlotte) got to see our first massive spider, around about the size of me. Our Elephant was called Dunga, and was a cool big elephant, we got to sit on the big guys head which was interesting and we got to feed hime some cucumber. Apparently they need to eat 200kgs a day so I am glad they could distinguish between me and cucumber!

We also spent a day at Ralai beach was a nice place to lie for the day. We were planning on staying there for a few days but the cheapest place we saw was 110 pund a night so we were happy with the day. On the beach though, I had a bit of a bad conscience, a little boy, amybe around 7 offered us some drinks, I went for a beer. But should i buy beer off a 7 year old who should be in school, the more money he makes at selling beer the less likely he will go to school. At paying him 3 times the shop price, I stopped feeling sorry for him and started to feel jealous, in about 3 years the kid will be a millionaire! There was only 1 thing of interest at Ralai and it was a cave at the end of the beach. Apparently many years ago a Thai princess somehow died in this cave and since then fishermen, have been going to the cave and leaving carvings of willies. Imagine if taxi drivers did that a tunnel in Paris? not my kind of idea of respect but sure i am not from Thailand!

Krabi was also the venue for Charlottes Tooth replacement surgery. Well thats what we both thought would have to happen, thinking it would be done in a dark back alley. But no, it was a clean main street surgery, with a young pleasnt female dentist who just filled the tooth within 45 minutes and it cost less than 14 pounds. So happy days about that and congratulations to the Thai denistry schools!
