Awoke to sunshine and watched the ripples from the sound below us reflected on the bedroom walls and ceiling.
We fancied going for a short pre-breakfast run to explore our surroundings and ran up the Malaspina Road to the start of a section of the Sunshine Coast trail.
It looked lovely, and after toiling uphill along the tarmac road, we decided to keep going along the beautiful forest trail with its soft and bouncy path between the trees towards a small rocky outcrop then down and further north to the Manzanita Hut at Manzanita Bluff. The sun shone, the skies were blue and the views were magnificent. We were hungry and thirsty but it didnt matter. We ran home again for breakfast and a long soak in the hot tub in the sunshine.
In the afternoon we took a double kayak and set off to explore the sound from the beach below our cabin. The kayak was a pig to steer but the secenery was beautiful .
In the evening we drove into Lund - a very pretty little harbour with a spectaular sunset. The downside was that the restaurants were both closed and the shop sold nothing that we fancied barbecuing on our deck.
There was no choice but to return to the Laughing Oyster where Dave, chortling merrily, gave us our 'usual' table, and we injoyed another unbeatable seafood dinner in unbeatable surroundings.
