Today went well until we tried to board the ferry back to Horseshoe Bay for my dental appointment at 1.30pm. There was an unexpected rush of vehicles wanting to use the ferry (presumably due to the continuing heavy rain forcing people to come home early). The result was that Millie failed to board the ferry and I had to go on as a foot passenger and take the bus back to Vancouver, then run to The dentist's surgery on West Cordova. I made it only a few minutes ...

Arrived in Vancouver and travelled via Skytrain to waterfront. Met Chris at Steamworks. Lunch at Meet. Visit to Wiivv to meet the team and see latest projects. Back to Greer Avenue in Evo car for a power nap. Chris home at 6 - dusk run along Kitsilano waterfront and home to cook supper with Laura and Jerome.

Friday 22nd September - day 4 - our 33rd wedding anniversary - Vancouver, Grouse mountain and Bowen Island. Chris persuaded us that we should mark the occasion of our 33rd wedding anniversary not by a lie in but with a dawn run up to the top of Grouse Mountain - the famous 'Grouse Grind'. Wednesday 21st September. Day three. To Deep Cove, north shore and Lynn Canyon. Woke before the 7am alarm feeling surprisingly good. Chris had to be at work in Gastown at eight, so time for a very brief beach run (and play on the swings!) Wednesday 20/9/17 - day 2. A day in Vancouver. We slept amazingly well with no trace of jet lag as we drifted awake at 7.00.
