Quick stop in the town of Mui Ne. Small town up the east coast of Vietnam just 3/4 hours from Ho Chi Minh.
A town built on Russian investment, the crunch in Russia's economy is showing with investment and tourism slowing in Mui Ne.
First night we had the luxury of near 5* accommodation for £3 a night, only to be brought back to Earth in a dorm the second!
Hired mopeds again so got a full tour of the town. Few local attractions visited, sand dune boarding, beaches and rivers. Learned first hand why the Lonely Planet noted that Vietnam is scored as high as Nigeria in terms of corruption. Picked ourselves up a £15 fine after being stopped at a police road block purely for being western. No ticket issued and money straight in the pocket. All adds to the experiences of travelling in these countries though!
With our hotel selling beer for 30p a bottle the evening was fun!
Short bus ride inland to Dalat, scenery looks amazing so looking forward to more exploring before the tourist party town of Na Trang and a rendezvous with a load more guys from Laos and mate from home!
