Last 3 days in Ha Long bay were a good laugh, helped by perfect weather and a good crowd we met there.

Stayed in a £2.60 a night hostel the first day, which included free beer for 2 hours in the evening and free breakfast in the morning, can't complain! The first night we also managed to watch the Spurs game, randomly got a local restaurant to put the game on for us and ended up being a funny night. Although throwing away a 2-0 lead to Stoke wasn't ideal...!!

Next few days we booked ourselves onto a 3 day boat trip around Ha Long Bay. This included swimming, kayaking, jumping off the boat and snorkelling in some of the beautiful bays. A trip through one of the islands big natural caves and a stop over on Cat Bar island.

First night we ended up sleeping on the top deck due to an overbooked boat, standard overbooking of something in Asia! Also got a free bar first night which was always good. Next we were on the island. Spent most of the trip with a group of Aussie lads, funny few days but definitely showing our age with it going to take a few days to recover after a busy trip!

With only 3 weeks of the trip in Asia left, the next part of the trip will be spent in Anna's home town for a few days, seeing a bit of local culture away from any tourists and after that up into the far north of Vietnam.
