We decided to stay another night at Torbay Inlet so we could do another day trip without the caravan. So today we headed west through Denmark and the pretty surrounding countryside and on to Walpole. We visited a winery that has diversified into producing lovely cheeses, and enjoyed our tastings there. We continued on to see the Giant Tingle Tree, a 500 year old giant gum tree that only grows in this part of the world. It was spectacular, with a wide hollowed out girth big enough to stand inside.
In the afternoon we drove to the Walpole-Nornulup National Park where Gadi explored the Ancient Empire of the Treetop Walk to see more Tingle trees while I stayed in the car with Cadbury - lucky we have tinted windows as a ranger was standing there as we drove by but luckily didn't see him in the back seat. It does make it difficult to see some of the best scenery in national parks when you are travelling with your four legged fur friend.
We returned back to our campsite late afternoon after today's lengthy drive. Tomorrow we will hook up the caravan and head further west.
Good night everyone xx
