Well our time in Lima was short, this morning we are at the airport again bound for Iquitos. Every day I've tried to master another Spanish phrase but its slow moving. Yesterday we visited the Larco Museum (not it's full title) to see 55,000 ceramics describing every single facet of life thousands of years ago. We then spent the afternoon in central Lima where we had a lovely tour of the cathedral and a wander through parts of the city. If you took all the right streets you certainly wouldn't get a real picture of Lima. I feel like we've only managed to see quite an affluent touristy side of the city. The real Lima is definitely still back there somewhere but time is not on our side. Hopefully as we head towards the jungle we might get a more true view of life here.
