Well this feels a lot more like Peru... Organised chaos everywhere with a real south East Asian vibe... Motorbikes everywhere and people left, right and centre. We landed this morning and jetted up the amazon river to our accommodation. In the afternoon we went on a little walk in our local jungle patch which has been mostly replanted. Much of the amazon has been deforested heavily. This site was a former plantation that was replanted only 30 years ago yet it looks like its been here a lot longer. The amazon is being cut down faster than it can be replanted so it makes me sad where will those cute monkeys we saw live? Not to mention the environmental impact on the land and climate... Off my soapbox now I think I'm due for bed... After this beer.
