Back in Salvador.
After a 4 hour sail of only 15 NM we arrived in Salvador to provision the boat and check out of the Bahia region. The Brazilian regulations dictate to check in and out for each province.....quite an administrational burden and sometimes a long procedure.
The reason for the long sail was a stuck rudder that blocked the steering of working properly, and Atlantis wasn't able to hold a steady course. We suspected growth could be the cause and she has to be cleaned.
In Salvador we took the opportunity to visit the "Igreja e Convento de Sao Franciso" and several other historical buildings. As the former capital of Brazil, Salvador has an important historical heritage....maybe the most important in Brazil and worthwhile to visit.
