It's a week before the start of my big adventure. This time next week I will hopefully be touching down in Nairobi to start a 6 week overlander trek from Kenya to Cape Town. After that, I will go on to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and America. 8 months exploring a good section of the world. I feel excited, nervous and very disorganised. I think this is the hardest part. I still have to decide what to take what not to take. I will mainly be camping in Africa. It is still winter so very cold at night. I have 2 sleeping bags!!! Today I acquired Leo, a brightly coloured rubber snake which, apparently will ward animals away from my tent...hmmn.#

I have 3 nights on my own in Nairobi so if anyone is familiar with this city please let me know where you would recommend to eat/visit etc.
