Unfortunately, the petrol attendant who allowed us to stay last night revealed as we prepared to go to bed that he is actually forbidden from allowing travellers to park overnight so we had to get up at 6.45 to avoid the arrival of the petrol station manager. So we got up bleary eyed to move the motorhome only to our horror to discover a secluded parking spot two minutes away. All of the hassle could be avoided only if we drive few extra metres last night!

After snatching an extra hour of sleep, we resumed our journey to Wanaka, when we arrived, we checked in at campsite because our motorhome waste needed to be emptied etc. This represented a night of luxury for us after successive nights of laybys.

After checking in and servicing our motorhome, we went to the information centre to book our slot for skiing next day. We also hired some skiing gear before going to Puzzling World. However before all of that, we all found a small beach with a stunning backdrop of mountains which is a novelty in itself. Puzzling World is a museum full of puzzles and mind-bending tricks. We had great time looking around and trying to solve puzzles and enjoying exhibitions such as world's first maze.

Eventually we returned to campsite....prepare yourselves to faint from the shock of what I am going to say next....I then cooked dinner for everybody before watching a film called Cable Guy on our DVD player inside the motorhome.
