Another hilariously funny but exhausting day!!! We left surf camp and headed inland to Barrington Tops on a 6 hour drive. We arrived around 6pm and everyone on the bus was very excited to find out we had a huge house all to ourselves (as there was only about 9 people on the bus!) So we chilled out there for a bit and then went down for dinner, which was equally as exciting - all you can eat pizza!!! Although i have to say we did very poorly and only managed about 5 slices each!! Maybe it was because of the apprehension at what we were about to do next......white water rafting, except this was white water rafting with a difference!! It was night water rafting, in the pitch black!! But it had to be done as Barrington is the only place in the whole world where you can do it at night. So we got kitted out in a wetsuit, rubber shoes, a life jacket, helmet and a head lamp, and then we all got in the bus and drove to the river. I have to say it was possibly one of the scariest things I've ever done, but also one of the most exciting! This was most probably due to the fact that as soon as I got in the river and had been paddling for about 30 seconds, I got whacked in the head by a tree and capsized!! Thank goodness for the hemets!! I lost my boat and my oar and everyone found it hilarious!! But the fun didn't stop there!! Oh no!! I managed to capsize another 2 times during the hour it took to get downstream!! Oh Wiss, she doesn't understand how she missed out, the river tasted so good!! There's nothing like a bit of a night-time swim!! So we finally made it back after tackling some grade 3 rapids, and everyone was still in one piece, and we all jumped in the hot tub and enjoyed a nice bit of goon (really cheap aussie wine)!! Then around midnight came the highlight of the night....lol our bus driver offered to drive us back up to the house we were staying in as we were all in bikinis, so all of us girls (about 8 of us) jumped out of the hot tub and sat on the bus waiting for him.....except he didn't come!! So we decided to have a bit of fun - cue Britney Spears on full blast, the interior light flashing (disco ball imitation!) and us all screaming "taxi" down the microphone!! However, this didn't seem to bother him, so we turned the bus engine on a tried to steal it, but it was a little tricky as none of us were bus drivers, and so we gave up and trekked back up, in our bikinis!! We made it to bed by 1am, well and truly exhausted!!!
