We moved to Hervey bay and arranged to meet Paul and Toby again after settling into our new campsite. We were planning our next move up the coast when we got a call from Paul Collins (who we'd seen in Newcastle). He was in a place called Rainbow Beach camping with his son Toby, so we arrange to go their a camp with him for a night. Rainbow beach is a national park so we only had to pay $5 each a night to stay there but there are no showers only toilets (non-flushing holes in the ground type) - stinky!... On our first day in Brisbane, we decided to treat ourselves to a meal out so we caught the bus into Brisbane town centre. When we arrived in Surfers Paradise, we were quite shocked to say the least. It was totally not anything like either or us had expected and is very American with loads of high rise buildings and hotels.
