We got settled in Clarkes beach tourist park in Byron bay, where we got a view from the van of the beach. We took a walk along the beach and watched some people surfing and stuff and then spent some more time chilling in the van.
The following morning we took a nice long walk to the most Easterly point in Australia and then up to the lighthouse. It was a really lovely walk and took us about 2 hours in total. We could see dolphins playing in the surf and loads of loads of whales splashing about further out to sea- class!
Later on that day Karl phoned us and said that he'd had enough Nimbin and had come on the bus down to Byron. We met up with him that night and went for a few drinks. The following day we picked him up and went down to the beach for the day to chill. It had been a long time since we'd been able to sit on the beach in the sun and we treated ourselves to a nice lunch and a glass of wine.
The following day Leila and Bradley came down with some more of their friends from home (London) but we were leaving to go to watch a rally in Murwillumbah, so we said we see them later on in Surfers Paradise.
