Day 2 of our trek. I think if Mike was writing this you would get a very different picture of the day. Maybe he will write his own verion. We were up pretty early and they made us pancakes for breafast and then we set off for the trek which was about 4 hours but mainly flat so he said! 5am. It was so damn early but we had to get up to go trekking. Our guide met us at th hostel an we walked for a while to pick up the other two people in our group Anthony and a girl who I still cant pronounce her name! We got in a taxi to the bus depot and were put on a local bus. mmmmm the smell at 6am in th morning just what you want. Anyway we were just settling down on the bus to sleep and up pops this bloody preuvian guy playing pan pipes. For goodness sake ...

b***** b*****. Forgot I was supposed to update for our first proper day in Arequipa I have been more than lazy about doing this blog!! It really ought to be purely Antoinettes!! I was accused by someone (who will remain nameless) of lowering the tone in my last entry so I will attempt to keep this clean. Ahem. We set off early on to book a trek into the Colca Canyon and possibly white water rafting but were soon getting bored to death by various travel agents....

Our first poper day in Arequipa and we had quite a bit to do, we had to decide with so little time what exactly we were going to cram in. We ate breakfast on the terrace above the hostel which has amazing views of the city and the snow capped mountains in the background. It is just stunning. We spent the morning going round all the tour agencies ( there are so many) to try and find the best price for what we wanted to do and finally ended up booking with our host...

Wooo Hoooo I am finally upto date with the blog! We got the bus from Lake Titicaca in the morning with the intention of stopping on the Peruvian side for a few days before moving on.
