I could really just copy and paste these blogs for every day! Wake up, try and get a visa, eat and then sleep! Urghhh what a waste of my time!
Got up at 9 like every day as breakfast is time limited and that's the time the wifi gets turned on!
Got a tuktuk to the embassy at 10, collected the forms but all the other visas we have got we didn't need pictures but we had to have 2, we also had to have transport in and out of China and all accommodation booked! Which is crazy for a traveller!
We discussed all this but decided even though it was difficult we still wanted to go to China as we had come all the way back to Vientiane to do this!
So we asked our tuktuk to take us to a photo booth shop! The lady was mega cute! We had to go into this photo studio and get them done! Michael went first and couldn't stop laughing even though you need to have a serious face! When it was my turn she dressed me!! I had my shoulders out!
While she was printing them we asked her if we could go back in and take pictures with our cameras! We got real Tyra Banks about life! Love it!
Went back to the embassy which closes at 11.30 and we got there at 11.10 and had to fill out the visa form which was about 16.7 chapters long!!! (4 pages). They ask you everything! How many times ive been married, if I have diseases, if I have been kicked out of China before, my doctors name, my aims in life and what I had for breakfast!
Actually managed to fill it all out with 2 minutes to spare! Got to the counter and even though he watched us fill it out and we were the only ones there he failed to mention we needed copies and originals or all tickets for transport in and out of China and receipts of accommodation reservations we had!
So we left! We have tried this 3 days in a row now, Sunday it was closed, Monday it was its annual closing day and today! So guess we are back tomorrow as well!
Got our tuktuk back, for the 2 30 minute journeys there and back, the 10 minute journey to the photo place and to wait for us cost us 70000 kip (£5.60) which I can live with! You wouldn't get that with 82 cars anyway!
We were stressed! Just get me to China stop wasting my time! Get me a vodka on the rocks, easy on the rocks!
Chilled in the room, they gave us free cake tickets this morning so I finally got to have my cake and eat it! Yey!! Got a free drink as well! What more could we ask for!!
Actually remembered to take my malaria tablet today for the first time in 4 days! Oops!
Looked at transport in and out of China, flights, trains and buses! Flights cost to much, trains take to long and there is to many and buses also take to long but you had to book them while your in China and we need the tickets now!
We hate being strapped down with time as well.
Got ready as we were invited to a BBQ! What am I supposed to wear to an Asian BBQ?! Ohwell! Arrived at GQ bar at 6!
Everyone was just sticking there hands in the fire moving the coal! Even the girl with 1 meter long acrylic nails on! You won't catch me doing that!
They had beef and whole fishes. The fish was beaut! In Laos, you eat with your hands! The way to eat at a BBQ is, get a lettuce leaf, put fish in it then they had this plate full of cucumber, ginger, peanuts, chilli, basil, garlic, tomatoes, courgette and sticky noodles and you put whatever you want in it then drizzle some sour tasting sauce on it! It was lush but my hands were horrible after it!
Drank Laos beers and one of the boys called Cum, brought a bottle of black Bacardi! Vom! Oh well it was free!
Michael didn't eat one speckle of the BBQ as he doesn't like fish or beef and didn't want noodles or veg or anything else! So I walked him to cute lady stall and he got noodle soup there.
Walked back via our hotel as I needed my inhaler and the staff found it hilarious that we were drunk! They should spend less time laughing at us and more time researching and realising that giving me meat in ever meal will never go down well.
Got back to GQ and we all walked to Roof Top Bar! It's so nice up there! It's like in a housing block and you walk up a million stairs and it's massive at the top and overlooks the Mekong river! We ordered a beer tower to share! It was huge! Laos people find every excuse to cheers each other, by the end of the night I think I did it 40 times no joke!
We all went back to GQ then got in cars to @Home club. Me and Michael don't really like it here, it's weird, a club with loads of tables all over the dance floor so no one dances but the music is to loud to speak to each other!
Stayed there for a bit, it closed at 3 and we got in cars back to GQ and stayed there till about 4.30 then I walked home!
