Woke up and had a leisurely breakfast at 8.30. Eventually headed in to town after a heavy shower had passed at 11.00. Spent the day exploring, going to Wat. And then on to The Hilltribe museum after a quick smoothie stop. The Hilltribe museum explains how opium is made and describes in detail the many different tribes which live around the province of Chiang Rai, like the Karen longneck tribe who elongate their necks with rings. I eventually had lunch at around 2.30 at a local roadside restaurant, having pork and noodles. I then headed back to the hotel at around 4.30 for a swim and relaxation time before heading into town for dinner in the night market.
