Day 1 & Day 2 (11/03 & 12/03) Day 1 Hello everyone, hope you`re all well. Wellll..we got here safely after a total 12 hours flying time in which i slept for a like an hour and a half. Got here 6.30pm yesterday evening and think we already got scammed on the taxi ride to the hotel. And its really hot, bout 30C at night. We were amazed when we got to the hotel. Its soo nice, 4 start hotel for $11 a night (when i type `$` i mean pounds cos i can`t fine the pound sign on this keyboard. Its confusing; theres thai letters on this keyboard aswell).Well we havent done much yet. Just adjusting really. Went out on the first night, looking for a place to eat noodles. Well instantly we had tuk-tuk drivers (tuk-tuks are 3 wheeled vehicles that drive at like a million mph and dont give care for the world) trying to take us places. One even followed us part way down the street. A taxi driver took us to some tourist information office for 3, and he was telling us about `thai lady boys`....i swear he was one himself..quite scary.When i got out onto the street it was a total shock and quite scary.Theres people everywhere, and the area looks rough. Rather scary. The street is lined with wagon things that are cooking all sorts of food except noodles (well i couldnt see any). So we ended up going to some little restaurant....and we had our noodles :) which were quite good. Anyways that was all we did the first evening; a quest for noodles. Day 2 Alarm set for 8.15 am. Wake up time....11am. not good. tho i blame jet lag and heren`s phone going off. We missed breakfast aswell, they stop serving at 9.30am. Later we took the sky train (no, it doesnt fly) to this huge open air market. There are literally thousand of stalls. Its mental. So crowded, congested and hectic, and again food thingies everywhere. I guess thats how the thai`s eat in bagkok. Some dodgy looking food aswell :s. We just wandered around aimlessly. Walked through a park which was right next to the market. was quite cool, there was a river/stream going right through it, and there was some local band playing. We were walking down a street and theres was this guy sitting on a dustbin leaning on some rails. I took a picture of him. Well i purposely took a random picture of heren which the guy behind. you should be able to see him. Looked like a caveman and a bit of a phsyco. On the way back down that street. i walked as far away as possible from him, just incase he noticed i was taking picture and decided to jump on em. Again we havent done much today, cos we`re still learning how to get around and stuff. Got back to the hotel and i fell alseep. Then watched the Man U Newcaste game. Heren`s a big united suppotted so had to watch it. And now im here writing this at the current time of 11.25 pm. Tomorrow we should be off to the golden palace. Anyways thats all for now. Sorry, there wasnt anything exciting to talk about really. Hopefully will have some better in the near future. Take care guys
