We cant escape!!!
You could call this a lazy day as we really didnt do anything very phisical, however we did spend most of it trying in vain to work out an escape from Alaska!! So we looked at a few car rental sites but being the height of the tourist season there were none to be had :( Then the brainwave hit...why not buy a car cheaply and drive all across America for 3 months then sell it and be on our way?!! Ok, you try and find out via the internet if this is legally possible or not....bloody frustratingly impossible!! So we decided the next day we'd take a walk to the DMV and ask to find out for certain! After a few chats on Skype, with my Dad, Andy's sister Alison and Matthew we got ready 2 largish boxes of stuff to post home!! Yes, we brought too much!! Then it was off to our meal out with Sheli and Paul...I got to wear new shoes!!! :) We had a fantastic meal, going with Paul's recommendations for the fish I had Rock fish and Andy had Salmon in cajun spices! Beautifully cooked and with really nice veg on the side, accompanied of course by wine and followed by a suitably sweet and tasty dessert!! All in all a very pleasent way to spend an evening, especially with some of Paul's amusing anecdotes!!
