Baaacckkkkkk to good old' London!!!
Was strange to be back in a English speaking country, first couple days was speaking slowly in different languages and using hand signals to try communicate... had a few strange looks lol. But the travel over was easy, had different flights to Adam and Luke, so met a russian guy who was pretty cool, made the travel a lot less boring!! Found the hostel and just chilled, met a spanish girl (woowww) and hoped that the guys could find their way without my map direction skilzzz (adam used me as his personal GPS, lazy kid haha). Ended up going out to Wikid Musical (wizard of oz prequel), was slightly awkward at the start being young guys in a musical, but was really good!! was a shame we couldnt take photos or videos inside, sorry guys!!! just going to have to take my word for it ;)
2nd last day with the guys, we headed on a 13 hour bus tour to Windsor, Stonehenge and Bath!! Besides the long hours on the bus, it was pretty good tour! Windsor castle was pretty cool, was a typical english castle; really nice gardens, very posh and over-exagurated rooms, the usual. I really dont know why you would want to live in such a big place, the rooms are pretty boring... would be cool for a 21st though (hint hint to my parents...) Stonehenge was really interesting, by this point we had met 2 american girls (ayyyeee Rossy!!), very friendly and ended up spending the day with them. Stonehenge makes you really think how in the world they can build those kind of things 3500 years ago.. Each stone weighing 40 ton... adam can probs bench that soon i guess? Last was the Roman Baths, the water was disgusttinggggg, had to touch it though - the hot springs are still working. Just slowly walked through with the american girls, talking and checked out all the baths, was very italian styled, i literally though i was in Italy was getting quite confused.
That same night, after we got back at like 9, i rushed to book accommodation for the next few nights and then headed out with the hostel to a local bar/club! Was a good night, the last night with the guys so we had fun. Met up with the american girls there randomly which was awesome, and met 2 Finland girls who stayed in our hostel aswell. Club shut at 3 (i know right?!?! English dont party as hard as Aussies). Last day with the guys was very lazy, just sat around, killing time, shopped for an hour or 2. When the time came, had a very emotional goodbye, adam and luke were crying, didnt want to let me go, but i was like,'whatever'. So we went out seperate ways and i was officially travelling solo!!
Found my new hostel, came into my 12 person dorm and straight up walked into an awesome bunch of people! A couple aussie girls, NZ girl, Brazil and a french guy, couple girls from Finland and a group of girls from South Korea!!(if ur thinking what im thinking, i was reallllyyy happy with my dorm room 'ya get me') Reallyyyy nice, friendly bunch of chaps, started to head out that night with them all buttt as i only had at this stage 20 pound for 2 days, i had to back-out as they took public transport, felt pretty stingy lol, but o well.
Next couple days, i just walked around, chilled on facebook, talked to the people from my dorm room. Went to the Jack the Ripper tour at night which took about 3 hours of walking to and from (had to save money on public transport haha, good fitness though!!). Was a really good tour, had a couple spare tickets (was adams and lukes but obviously they werent here..) so gave them to some randoms from canada(ended up givng me 5 pound at the end which is like double what i currently had hahaha, happy about that). Tour guide was pretty funny, the stories of the killer were verryyy disturbing, i do not recommend for any honey-mooners going to London. Found a NANDOS!! while on the tour, so couldnt go to it but was so keep for chicken, so found a english chicken store which was meh.. atleast it wasnt bread again (need to start running off all that bread from italy!) Made my way home and chatted to my dorm-ies all night, nice relaxing night which i was in desperate need for!
Next stop, Nice in France! Cheeky little 4am wake up to walk to a closer train station so i can make the flight in time, should be interesting!!
Much Luv,
Andreas.
