Rushing from place to place now, its been about a week and iv already visitied Heidelberg, Rudesheim and now im in Luxembourg!
So had to leave my awesome host family near Munich to head to a small city named Heidelberg. As usual, on the days I use my europass I always do a day trip to another city, this time is was Stuttgart! Unfortunately.... It was a monday and I had no idea that on Mondays, everything is closed exept shopping. So, I did what I do best recently and went shopping to make the most of my trip. Was in Hugo Boss and probably saw the most amazingly attractive woman working there... so Germany is possibly winning in the 'the country with the most attractive females' competition! Even though two places had told me the Mercedes HQ was closed, I came all the way there so I had to check it out. And BAM atleast the showroom was open!! Was massive, biggest showroom iv been to so far, and they had an awesome GT5 Setup which was fun, kicked some kids off it that were hogging it :P Then finally to Heidelberg; pretty nice place, had a massssssiveeeee castle at the top of a hill; it was all falling down, was pretty cool. Besides that, there was a cool metal statue of a futuristic cat... and an asian tourist group was there and one of them put their head inside it as a mask haha, so I had to do it, thought it was kinda funny. Met a couple girls in the hostel just to chill and chat with. All the hostels now are pretty empty because its off season which is kind of lame, so not meeting as many people as I usually do. But still, just chatted away with these girls which made it a nice relaxed stay in Heidelberg!
Off to Rudesheim Am Rhein; a town that was next to my dads university town that he studied at. I decided to take a 5 train route with some 4 minute changeovers, which actually ended up being 6 trains and a bus... insane, i know, but if i can make it through that I can make it through anything now! When I arrived however I had no idea how hard it was going to be to walk to the hostel. An information lady told me to get a taxi, like she was saying im really silly if i want to walk, but Id walked the entire trip so didnt think it could be that hard. It was like 2km steep up hill after an already 2km walk. It was actually getting so hard that I was trying to hitch hike haha, was unsuccessful though. However the next day on my way down to town a nice lady picked me up to give me a ride; people are so kind here :) So obviously, i walked to the next town and checked out the university - however unfortunately all the professors had gone home when i got there so i couldnt find out about my dads shinanigans when he was a student :P Nice place though, really relaxing towns on the Rhein river (which is massive by the way!!). There wasnt really 'too' much to see in Rudesheim, so a lot of the time was just chilling out and unfortunately my hostel I was staying at was a ghost town, was actually kind of scary... But after all of that, nice walk back down the hill to head to Luxembourg!
The atmosphere here is getting me excited for christmas though! All the christmas stalls are getting set up, towns are getting decorated, now just have to wait for the snow!! Hopefully ill have a lucky weather update for you next time ;)
