I have successfully finished my job as an english teacher! What an interesting three weeks... the last one not so good as the first two weeks, however different experiences make for better stories!!
Not sure what i mentioned in the previous blog, so ill just skip through it... First day my host family (who happen to be italian and german.. really hard to understand them when they keep switching language!) were still on holiday so had to stay at Jemmas house for the first night. Her family gave her a car for the week!!! HOW LUCKY! was pretty jealous but meh... my family gave me a bike to ride to school with, not a car but better then nothing! Only used it for the first day because it was seriously a mission riding up the hill after school, way easier to walk.
The last school was alright, i think all the teachers were exhausted and really lazy, as some had been teaching for nearly 10 weeks!! Id go crazy after 5 weeks i think... So basically we were all getting the kids to entertain themselves while we just slept at school, pretty good deal i thought! However the camp director was realllyyy ambitious, so she wanted 1000 things to happen in the week and wanted it all to be perfect-pretty stressfull/crazy, but we ended up doing most of the things she wanted, GO TEAM!
The final day was pretty good, the show went well; it was basically Olympics of the four teams (australia, england, america, canada) that represents the teachers at the school, and america tries to steal the gold medals (as that always happens at the olympics, eyy rossyyy :P ). But went really well, the kids were happy, parents happy, teachers were paid so we were REALLY happy. Our last day was a 3 hour games session on the saturday. was pretty easy/fun for me as it was just exercise, didnt really complain! Said our goodbyes to the children, then after a couple drinks and goodbyes to the teachers, then sadly had to go our seperate ways!
My way happened to be back were it all began, in San Remo! Im currently babysitting in a town called Coldirodi, west and up a hill of San Remo. Small, but can see the ocean so its really nice. The family im with is really nice, the kids are easy to take care off, just play wii all day and chill on the internet! Sadly though, as this town is so small i doubt my wifey will be popping around the corner, guess Italy is eliminated from the wifey competition! So just going to be a very easy week, relaxing, organising my croatia/greece trip (not sure if it can happen at this stage, its a lot more complicated then i thought!!) Oh, and i think im going skydiving this sunday with Austin, one of the girls i met on my last week of teaching! So that should be pretty fun!! Pretty sure parachutes dont break these days... right? :P
