This week was all about getting stuck into the coaching sessions. They started on Monday, with my first session being at Randwick First School. My first session I had 26 hyperactive 4-7 year olds!! They were great fun! Tried to coach cricket, well there were balls flying around n kids swinging bats about with smiles on their faces so I was happy lol! No it went really well, managed to get them to do a few skills before the bit of free-for-all at the end but they loved me I must say lol!
Back at dominos for cheap ars Tuesday busy shifts but hey I still getting to drive around so not complaining, plus finish in like 2 weeks so that’s all good! It was raining all day though so was bit worried about slipping over n chucking pizzas everywhere but I managed just fine!
Wednesday was my second coaching session but at different school called Botany First School, and with a Singaporean girl called Jo! Had another 26 crazy kids n jo was no use at all, I saw her most of the time walking around holding hands with the lil girls while I spent most of the hour screaming over the top of these little ones, again busting out some cool cricket skills! The ozzies love cricket so much that the kids were so excited to play and they just wanted to play game after game so it was all good. Jo mentioned at the end ‘oh im sorry, I don’t think I was much help during that hour’ n I was like no s*** Sherlock!! But I gave her some tips so hopefully next week she be bit better. Fingers crossed hey!!
Thursday was the coaching sesh I was really looking forward to cause it was coaching the kindies (kindergarten) and they were soooo small!! Me and Petra (the other coach) had a giggle playing real basic games with them and it was bascketball. The ball was no joke bigger than nearly all of them! Apart from the poor lil fat kid that everyone has in their year lol! But ah bless, it was funny to watch! It went well so that was the main thing. That was also back at Randwick school so that was a bonus too.
Finished the week coaching circus skills at a 6th birthday party with a dude called Joel then back to dominos for more pizza delivering! Good week though, very productive and made more cash!
