Hello Everyone!

Again, it has been a while since the last update, but we FINALLY have something to fill you all in on! We can't quite believe just how fast our time here in Melbourne has gone, it has been nearly 5 months! Amy is still working, but will only be doing so for the next couple of weeks as we are both leaving Melbourne on the 24th November - less than 3 weeks time!

On the 24th we both fly to Alice Springs where we will be doing a 3 day, 2 night camping trip around Kings Canyon and Ayers Rock (apparently we will literally be sleeping under the stars with no tents, just 'swags'), also we have heard there is a LOT of walking involved, around 20k in 3 days - we will be shells of our former selves by the time you next see us! Then on the 28th Nov we fly to Cairns where we will have about 3 days to relax and enjoy the surroundings (the lagoon etc!) before heading off on a day trip out to the Great Barrier Reef. Amy will be doing a dive and snorkelling, and Clare just snorkelling ... should be some beautiful views and things to see, its so exciting! We will then be heading up to Cape Tribulation (a rainforest north of Cairns, its supposed to be the oldest in the world but I doubt its a match for the amazon!) where we will be staying a night. We are going to have a go at 'jungle surfing' where you are amongst the tree tops and flinging yourself from tree to tree on giant zip-wires!

Once into December we are going to Magnetic Island for a couple of days. Its a small island just off the coast of Townsville, and is supposed to have some gorgeous scenery. Once we have done some relaxing on that island, we then move on to Airlie beach, and a 3 day 2 night boat trip around the Whitsundays! I know what you are all thinking ... we live a hard life. We will then be staying on a cattle ranch for an evening, learning how to lasoo etc, before heading down to Rainbow beach and a 3 day 4x4 trip around Fraser island! After Fraser we will be heading down to Byron Bay, where we will be for about 3 days - one of which is Clares bday - and we will also be taking a trip out to Nimbin.

After Byron we then start our journey down towards Sydney, but stop at a Surf camp and Coffs harbour for a few days along the way! We will finally reach Sydney on Christmas Eve, and then depart for New Zealand on the 2nd January 2010! We are currently planning to camp our way through NZ, hiring a car and camping equipment, as it looks like the most fun way to do it! We have also been busying ourselves booking up America ... but we will fill you in on that closer to the time (dont want to give the whole game away now!).

Anyway people, our next blog will probably be from Ayers rock (as we doubt much will happen in the way of plans before then!) so make sure you read up on our travels, and also send us some messages on our message board - we love to read all about whats been happening in the UK, even if it is about x factor!
