Hey Everyone!!

Hope you are all well. Sorry it has been a while since the last post, we haven't been on the internet in a while as you can tell. After our 5 days in Sydney we made our way down to Melbourne. The journey was not the best as we had to get an overnight bus that took us 12 hours. What made it worse was that it was very old (we had been hoping for one of the shiney new ones lol), and the heating packed in - from what I recall it was below 15 degrees for most of the journey, so not so easy to sleep.

We arrived into Southern cross station, Melbourne at around 8.30am, and then go a tram to the hostel. We had heard from a girl we met in Sydney that the hostels in Melbourne were the worst she had been in...god know where she had stayed because the one we were in was lovely! It was easily the best and cleanest hostel we have been in to date, plus it had amazingly helpful staff and even its own bar! We couldnt have wished for more. A couple of days into our stay at Urban Central Amy bumped into two girls she knew from Bury (such a small world!) so we ended up hanging out with them for the majority of the stay.

After a week we managed to find ourselves a flat in St Kilda (the gorgeous beach end of Melbourne) with two Irish girls. It has been nice to have met so many people, and I can see why other travellers we have met have raved about Melbourne so much. Currently we are looking for jobs as they are very hard to come by down here (as the majority are given to Australian residents). If all else fails we will have to leave Melbourne (which will be a sad time) and go looking for work else where....the last thing we want to do is to have to cut our trip short after all!!
