Hi Everyone! We arrived in Airlie beach on Sunday 6th December, excited for the 2 day 2 night Whisundays sailing trip we we're to start on the Monday. Hi All!! This is the first blog for our east coast trip (sorry its late!!). We arrived into Cairns on the 28th November 2009, and got to our hostel which was slightly out of the main town. When we first arrived we were shocked at how muggy it was up there - not as hot as Alice Springs, but had humidity of around 70%! From Hervey Bay we had to get back on the bus and spend a 'compulsory' night in Rainbow Beach, which was only half an hour down the road, and there wasn't anything to do. We didn't get there until late, and our hostel had already given out all the free evening meals that we had supposedly paid for, so we had to sneak into the hostel next door that was s...
