Hello All!!!!!

We are so very sorry we haven't written in ages - mainly due to the lack of internet (as its expensive here) and also that we haven't had much time. Been so busy recently, job hunting mostly!lol Initially we didnt have much luck - it seemed all jobs we were applying for, Australian residents were prioritised. Guess that makes sense as there is as much of a recession here as everywhere else! We were then recommended a job agency that specialises in work for backpackers. Clares CV was forwarded onto another agency which specialised in temp work, and she got a job within a few days! Amy initially got a job at a manor house, doing some waitressing and a bit of housekeeping. As the money wasnt great she decided to forward her CV onto the same agency Clare was with, and true to form got a proper job within a few days - the funny thing is that we are both working at the same Uni campus now!!!! (in different departments though) Amy also still works on a Sat at the manor for some extra cash. We are both really enjoying working life, its so nice to finally have a bit of cash coming in that matches our outgoings!lol Hopefully we will be able to book more of our trip in about 4 weeks.

The plan at the moment is to do a trip up to Uluru and Ayres rock, then onto Cairns where we will start a 3 week trip down the east coast to Sydney. We are planning to leave Melbourne mid-end of November (allowing us enough time to do this), but obviously when we leave will depend on funds etc! Its so scary to think we have been in Melbourne 2 months now, and theres only just over 2 more till we leave. Time just flies by soooooo quickly. Good news is that the weather is FINALLY getting better - due 25 tomorrow, and its still only the beginning of Spring! Just cant wait for the summer now, although the fact that it reached 45 last year is quite scary.

Anyway, not much else to report now weve mentioned the job factor! Such a weight off our minds. We are bith still doing very well, Amys iPod is holding up too - thanks boys! Also, hope Jack behaved himself whilst working over the summer?! :)
