We arrived at Heathrow all ready to go with our backpacks and then realised that we should have checked in online beforehand. The flight was overbooked but luckily they managed to get us on there, we weren't sitting together though. After watching the planes in departure for a bit it was soon time to board our big plane. Whilst boarding the plane we heard the air steward ring the pilot to ask if it was usual for a peice of the wing to be missing. Seeing as me and Amy aren't the best flyers this scared us quite a lot! However, he reassured us that everything was fine! Sat down and all ready to go and a man close to us was rocking out to his iPad which we're pretty sure you're not meant to have on during take off. Again this freaked us out. The flight was fine, a few bumps but we just ate, drank and watched some films. Landing in LA we were starting to feel a bit gross especially because we knew we had another 11 hour flight to go.

A quick wash and change of clothes in the bathroom at LA and we were ready for our next flight (where we got to sit together). Amy was nearly fast asleep by the time the plane had even taken off. We slept on and off for the majority of this flight and were woken at 3.30am for breakfast?!?! We landed in fiji around 5.15am and were greeted by a group of men singing and playing instruments for us. By this point we had the biggest bags under our eyes and didnt look particularly attractive. We bought our flyer pass (boat pass) and waited for the bus to take us to the port ready to catch the boat. By the time we had got to the port we had been travelling for 27 hours and were ready to get on a boat for 3 hours.

On the boat, we sat out on top, watching the sunrise and it started to get sunny and warm. We were speechless when we started to see all of these tiny islands surrounded by white beaches. A few islands later and it was time to arrive at our first stop, Manta Ray Island. We got off of the flyer onto a smaller boat and were taken to shore.
