We were greeted on the island by a group of people singing and playing music to us, which was lovely. We were then given a nice cold drink and had a talk about the island from the lady that worked there. It was soon time for lunch and we weren't feeling that tired surprisingly. After lunch we had a much needed shower, which was cold water but by this point neither of us cared and then set off down to the beach. After a afternoon at the beach and a short heavy downpour of rain it was time for dinner. By this point we were both starting to feel shattered and ended up falling asleep on some sofas at the bar at 9pm, this was our sign that we needed to go to bed!
We woke up at 8am the next day for breakfast and felt like humans again! We spent the day kayaking over to a different island, trying to peel a coconut and breaking it open, making a bracelet out of some kind of leaf and chatting to some other travellers. We spent the evening with these people, playing games, drinking and having lots of fun! We learnt our new game, called the manta ray game which we introduced to people on different islands! Half way through the night, Amy felt some warm body heat next to her leg whilst she was asleep....looked up and there was a cat asleep next to her. She decided that she was fine with this and let it sleep in her bed. I would have screamed and kicked it out. In the morning it was still there looking peaceful and homely.
Thursday was our last day on Manta Ray and we spent the morning sunbathing and having a class learning how to peel and crack coconuts, also how to climb a coconut tree (which was a LOT harder than it looked) and eating and drinking the coconut. Our next stop was Octopus island!
Love Amy and Meg xxxx
