Bamberg is an UNESCO world heritage town built on seven hills. It is located at the beginning of the 'Main-Danube Canal and has a river that runs through it separating the old town from the new town. We arrived in Wurzburg where we had a choice of vising the residential palace or a tour of Rothenburg - a medieval city. We chose the latter. Rothenburg is a city completely surrounded by a city wall and it feels like going back in time. As we cruised towards Freudenberg we were treated to a glass blowing demonstration on board. The glass blower came from a long line of glass blowers and he was quite a character - very entertaining. When we arrived in Freudenberg, a group of about 20 of us had a bike riding tour from Freudenberg to the next village of Wertheim - a distance of about 27km.
