Rectifying the mistake made on my previous visit to Cape Town I awoke to a clear day so headed straight for Table mountain rather than leave it to another day and risk it being shrouded in cloud. Visited an ostrich farm and learn all I ever need to know about them! Apparently you can't tell male from female until they are 14 months old. Tried for the caves but crazy busy so booked for the next day and set forth to tackle the Swartzberg pass - 27km of gravel road rising in switchbacks to over 1500m in altitude. Lots done in this area using Plett as a base. I really liked the vibe here and the 5 beautiful sandy beaches and good food certainly helped.
