Arrived last night at my next accommodation Zoete Inval hostel - a great improvement on Stellenbosch. Rina was lovely and gave lots of advice and the place had a cat called Dotty - must be good!

At at Crazy Horse - tex-mex/SA/New Zealand!

Early start for the shark dive in Kleinbaai. Lovely day for it and saw some whales on the way to the dive site. Ended up seeing 7 great white sharks but to be honest when under the water and coming past you they all looked fairly similar! Got to dive twice and after the second time it was definitely chilly!

Went back to Hermanus and Had a quick visit to the nature reserve before walking along the cliff path and luckily getting the last space on the whale watching trip. Didn't see too many but the baby we saw was having all kinds of fun.

Had a nice burger at the tapas place in town and another Hermanus local beer.

Next day was the long drive to Plettenberg Bay through stunning and changing scenery - the drive up to N2 reminded me of Tuscany. The N2 constantly had the mountains to the left and a reminder that I would have to cross them in days to come.

Arrived at Plett to be whisked off with Theresa and Orla to meet their German friends then off to watch Wales just lose to the Springboks in a local pub.

Quick cuppa then off to another bar to watch NZ v France and got a free glass of wine from the landlord to console me for the earlier loss!

Didn't spend anything all evening!
