Arrived last night at my next accommodation Zoete Inval hostel - a great improvement on Stellenbosch. Rina was lovely and gave lots of advice and the place had a cat called Dotty - must be good! At at Crazy Horse - tex-mex/SA/New Zealand! Early start for the shark dive in Kleinbaai. Lovely day for it and saw some whales on the way to the dive site. Ended up seeing 7 great white sharks but to be honest when under the water and coming past you they all looked fai...

Early start from Stellenbosch heading to the (almost) most southernly point of Africa - Cape Point and then the most southwesternly point Cape of Good Hope. Not as tacky as Lands End - it definitely benefits from being in the middle of a national park. Lots of fynbos, wild animals and incredible views. Journey to Hermanus was stunning following the R44 along the coast road. First sighting of whales.

Excellent wine tour with Afrivista wine tours visiting Muratie (historic/love story), Kanopkop (nice pinotage and pinotage rose), and Thelema (lovely views) and Fairview (cheese pairing and fancy goats - Extrano red wine and nice pinot grigio)
